"It's Always an Adventure" and while we can't get out to adventure right now due to COVID-19, what we can do is read about the outdoors! Pick up our first book club pick, A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail by Bill Bryson, and join us for a virtual gathering on Thursday, June 18th, 2020 at 5:00pm Pacific Time to discuss our thoughts about the book in addition to our longings for our next great adventure!

Described as "an almost perfect travel book" by the Boston Globe, A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail takes us from Georgia to Maine while covering some of the most breathtaking terrain in America—majestic mountains, silent forests, sparking lakes. If you’re going to take a hike, it’s probably the place to go. And Bill Bryson is surely the most entertaining guide you’ll find. Bill will introduce us to the history and ecology of the trail and to some of the other hardy (or just foolhardy) folks he meets along the way—and a couple of bears. Already a classic, A Walk in the Woods will make us long even more for the great outdoors!
