I love to read. I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and I find myself reading more and more when I'm not out on an adventure. There's nothing quite like cozying up with a good book that allows me to travel without moving my feet. Even Dr. Seuss said "the more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." I read everything from travel to psychological thriller to biographies to self-improvement.
I recently started a monthly travel/adventure theme book club because even though I can't get out to fully adventure right now due to COVID-19, we can still read about great adventures! I hope you'll join me in reading Grandma Gatewood's Walk: The Inspiriting STory of the Woman Who Saved the Appalachian Trail by Ben Montgomery and virtual discussion on Thursday, December 10th at 5:30pm Pacific Time/8:30pm Eastern Time. Click the buttons below to purchase the book and RSVP to the event to receive the Zoom Meeting ID & Password directly to your email. Questions or suggestions for the next book club selection? Contact me!
Here are some of my other favorite travel/adventure themed books that I'd recommend (in no particular order). Also check out my Bookshop.org store to see which of these books we've read for the It's Always an Adventure book club!
